Sun City.
The 'Cultural Village' in Sun City is developing a new
Butterfly Sanctuary under the guidance of Conservation of Butterflies in
South Africa (CBISA). The change from importing exotic butterflies, to a
lepidome that is self reliant in a developing environment, suited to the
specific life cycles of locality butterfly species is a must for all to
see. This will be the second South African butterfly sanctuary developed
in our country, not hosting exotic butterflies but our very own.
The Ramsgate Butterfly Sanctuary.
The Ramsgate Butterfly Sanctuary is temporarily closed
to the general public. A new piece of land has been purchased at 1034
Fascadale Road, Ramsgate South Coast, adjacent to the old existing but
closed butterfly sanctuary, on which the new Ramsgate Butterfly Sanctuary
will be built. The project is well underway with Conservation of
Butterflies in South Africa (CBISA) being its Project Manager. A
development of six environmentally friendly homes are being sold of plan
to finance the entire project. These home are situated in the Ramsgate
Butterfly Valley also known as the Ramsgate Conservancy. For more
information contact Lizanne at 039 314 9307
